Willen Lake is a 170-acre lakeside park in Milton Keynes and the largest outdoor activity centre in the area. It runs watersports on the lake — kayaking, paddleboarding, raft building, sailing and banana boat rides — alongside land-based attractions including the Treetop Extreme high ropes course, Treetop Drop, a Splash 'n' Play water play area, crazy golf, and a large play park.
For children's parties the lake sells two packages outright: a Paddlesports Party on the water, and exclusive private hire of the Splash 'n' Play area. Treetop Extreme has no fixed party package, but groups of six or more booking its general sessions receive an automatic 10% discount.
There is a café and a bar on site, and the park itself is free to enter — you pay for the activities you book.
Spaces
- Paddlesports Party — £150
£150 for up to 8 children aged 8 to 15, with extra children at £18.75 each.
A 90-minute session on the lake. Choose from kayaking, paddleboarding, mega paddleboarding, or raft building, run by Willen Lake's own instructors. Regular party slots run on Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm.
- Splash 'n' Play Private Hire — £160
£160 for up to 20 children aged 13 and under, with extra children at £6 each.
One hour of exclusive use of the Splash 'n' Play water play area — the facility is yours alone for the session. Available at weekends and during school holidays, with slots from 9.30am.
- Treetop Extreme Group Booking — Price on application
Willen Lake sells no fixed party package for Treetop Extreme. Instead, book six or more people onto its general sessions and a 10% discount is applied automatically at checkout. Contact the centre for a group quote.
The high ropes course runs at three levels of difficulty, all on a continuous belay system so participants stay attached throughout, and all finishing at the Treetop Drop — a 13-metre freefall simulator.
Restrictions worth knowing before booking: ages 6 and above, a minimum height of 1.1m for the Explorer level and 1.4m for the Adventure and Extreme levels, and a maximum participant weight of 120kg. Anyone under 16 needs a responsible adult on site for the whole activity.
