The London Function Band

The London Function Band is an interactive, fully live function band available in 6, 9, or 11-piece configurations for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Led by Musical Director Grant Irvine (credits include support for Elton John and Peter Andre) and Lead Vocalist Nathan Watson (credits include backing vocals for Justin Timberlake at the Brit Awards 2018 and Adele live at the BBC), the band performs a diverse song catalogue with no backing tracks. Every package includes a sound engineer, full PA system, stage lighting, DJ playlist between sets, wireless mics for speeches, and a bespoke setlist. An in-house production department supplies dance floors, staging, backdrops, spark machines, confetti cannons and outside lighting — all without outsourcing. The band performs throughout the UK and Europe.

- Do you use backing tracks?
- No — every performance is 100% live with no backing tracks whatsoever.
- What is included in all packages?
- All packages include a dedicated sound engineer, full PA system, wireless microphones for speeches, bespoke setlist tailored to your event, first dance song request, public liability insurance, and a DJ playlist between sets to keep the dancefloor going all night.
- Can you provide production, lighting, and staging?
- Yes. The band has an in-house production department that supplies party lighting, staging, dance floors, backdrops, aisle runners, spark machines, confetti cannons, and outside lighting. Everything is handled in-house — nothing is outsourced — to ensure the highest quality.
- Do you cater for corporate events?
- Yes. The band has performed for some of the most prestigious brands, businesses, and charities, from award ceremonies to party nights. They can provide a soul trio for drinks receptions, background music during dinner, and the full band for the main event. The production team can also supply AV requirements.

- Is the 6-piece option suitable for all events?
- The 6-piece boutique band is ideal for smaller budgets and events. However, it is not suitable for Israeli dancing sets; the 9- or 11-piece lineup would be recommended for those requirements.
