The World Conference on Social Sciences

‍The World Conference on Social Sciences (WCSS) is the world’s largest annual gathering of social scientists. The WCSS brings together over 15,000 researchers, practitioners and students to share research findings and exchange ideas. Since its establishment in 1997, the WCSS has been held every year with the exception of 2001 and 2009 when it was cancelled due to the outbreak of SARS and H1N1 influenza pandemic. It presents an excellent opportunity for social science scholars, professionals, non-profits and other stakeholders to present their work on research that is advancing our knowledge in this field. It also serves as a forum for discussion on important issues facing society today such as climate change, sustainable development and gender equality. The World Conference on Social Sciences aims to promote global cooperation among social scientists by providing a neutral umbrella for professional associations from around the world to meet once a year in a neutral host country.
