Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Welcome to EventsPlans (the “Platform”). By accessing or using our website or services, you (the “User”, which includes both Clients looking for services and Vendors — entertainers, venues, and suppliers — offering services) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
1. Role of EventsPlans (the Marketplace)
EventsPlans operates strictly as an online marketplace and directory designed to connect Clients (individuals looking to book services) with Vendors (entertainers, venues, suppliers, and other service providers).
Important notice: EventsPlans is an introductory platform only. We do not employ, endorse, recommend, or vet any Vendor, nor do we act as an agent for any Client or Vendor.
2. No Involvement in Bookings or Payments
Once a Client and a Vendor connect through the Platform, any subsequent discussions, negotiations, agreements, and contracts are strictly between those two parties.
- Independent contracts. Any agreement made for event services is a direct, legally binding contract solely between the Client and the Vendor. EventsPlans is not a party to, and has no obligations under, any such contract.
- Off-platform transactions. All bookings, deposits, final payments, and other financial transactions are handled outside of EventsPlans. EventsPlans does not collect, hold, process, or manage payments for bookings made between Users, nor do we provide invoicing or payment-processing infrastructure for events.
3. Platform Messaging Facility
EventsPlans provides an internal messaging facility so that Clients and Vendors can communicate, discuss event details, and exchange requirements directly on the Platform.
- Monitoring and safety. To maintain platform integrity, prevent fraud, and enforce these Terms, EventsPlans reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to review, monitor, or moderate messages sent through this facility.
- Prohibited messaging conduct. Users must not use the messaging system to send spam, abusive or defamatory content, harassment, or malicious links.
- Information shared between Users. Users exchange contact information or contract terms via the messaging system at their own risk. EventsPlans is not responsible for any misuse of information shared voluntarily between Users in private messages.
4. Vendor Approval and Listing Review
To maintain a high standard of quality on the marketplace, all Vendor profiles are subject to an administrative review before going live.
- The approval process. EventsPlans manually reviews and must explicitly approve every Vendor listing before it becomes visible to the public. We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or request modifications to any listing that does not meet our quality guidelines, formatting rules, or safety standards.
- Scope of approval. Administrative approval means only that the listing meets EventsPlans’s formatting and baseline presentation standards. It does not constitute an endorsement, background check, or validation of the Vendor’s legal compliance (such as public liability insurance or DBS checks). The responsibility to verify a Vendor’s credentials lies solely with the Client.
5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Because EventsPlans has no control over the actual quality, safety, legality, timing, or execution of the services provided by Vendors, you agree to the following limitations to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Vendor performance. EventsPlans is not responsible or liable for a Vendor’s failure to show up, lateness, poor performance, cancellation, or any breach of contract.
- Client conduct. EventsPlans is not responsible or liable for a Client’s failure to pay, last-minute cancellations, behaviour, or damage to a Vendor’s equipment.
- Property damage and personal injury. EventsPlans accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or theft occurring during an event organised or facilitated through connections made on the Platform.
- Accuracy of information. While we review listings for presentation quality, EventsPlans does not guarantee the continuing accuracy, completeness, safety, or quality of any content, profile, or review posted by Users.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud.
6. Disputes Between Clients and Vendors
If a dispute arises regarding a booking, payment, cancellation, or the quality of a service provided:
- The dispute must be resolved directly between the Client and the Vendor.
- EventsPlans will not act as a mediator, arbitrator, or legal representative in any capacity.
- EventsPlans cannot enforce refunds or chargebacks, as no funds are processed through our systems.
7. Prohibited Platform Conduct
Users agree not to use EventsPlans to:
- violate any local, national, or international laws;
- post false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent profiles, listings, or reviews;
- scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform, including to build competing directories;
- harass, abuse, or harm another User of the Platform; or
- circumvent or interfere with the Platform’s security or approval processes.
8. User Content
Users retain ownership of the content they post (listings, photos, reviews, messages) but grant EventsPlans a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote that content on and in connection with the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload. EventsPlans may remove content that breaches these Terms.
9. Fees and Premium Features
- EventsPlans may charge Vendors fees for premium listings, subscriptions, or featured visibility. We will always make any such fees clear before you incur them.
- Any such fees are for platform usage and marketing exposure only, not commissions on individual bookings.
- All fees paid to EventsPlans are non-refundable unless specified otherwise in writing.
10. Suspension and Termination
EventsPlans may suspend or terminate an account, or remove a listing, where a User breaches these Terms, poses a risk to other Users, or where required by law. Users may close their account at any time.
11. Amendments, Governing Law, and General
EventsPlans reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page, and continued use of the Platform following an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
